As architects, we are constantly driven by the desire to design with purpose—whether that purpose is functionality, emotional resonance, or aesthetic beauty. Yet, no matter how well a space serves its intended function or evokes the right feelings, one question remains: What truly separates good design from great design? How can we create a space that does more than engage the conscious mind, but also resonates deeply with the subconscious?
The answer is not straightforward.
At first glance, the distinction may seem subtle, even subjective, especially when viewed through a purely material lens. However, architecture has always been far more than just the physicality of walls and structures. It is a manifestation of history, science, and energy—each layer carrying meaning that often goes beyond what is immediately visible. These deeper layers of design are particularly evident in sacred geometry, a timeless language that has been used for centuries to imbue spaces with an energy that transcends mere functionality or aesthetic form.
At WiE Design studio, the ultimate goal of architectural design is not simply to create spaces that house people, but to design environments that nourish them. We seek to craft places that connect with something deeper within—spaces that awaken a sense of wonder, introspection, and spirituality. It’s not just about providing shelter; it’s about creating a physical experience that resonates on profound levels. In our opinion, the design should be a living thing, as much about what it makes you feel as what it allows you to do.
We believe architecture can evoke an emotional and spiritual response—something that touches the mind as well as the soul.
The Idea Behind "Quantum Existence" Project
The concept of Quantum Existence captures the truth that everything in life is interconnected— from the smallest particles of energy to the vast unfolding universe. Imagine a circle: inside it, there are smaller circles, each containing even smaller ones, endlessly folding into one another. This pattern reflects how we understand the body, the soul, and the spirit: individual discrete parts that, when combined, form something far greater than the sum of their pieces. It is a visual metaphor for the infinite connections and relationships that weave through all things, both seen and unseen.

In our Quantum Existence project, the architecture itself embodies this concept. Every design element is deliberately chosen to remind us of our place within the larger web of existence—of how the individual and the collective, the finite and the infinite, are intimately connected. The geometry and form of the structure reflect these fundamental relationships, creating spaces that invite us to reflect on the delicate balance between our physical lives and the unseen spiritual energy that sustains them.
The design draws our attention to the unseen forces that shape our lives, encouraging us to pause and reflect on our own place within this larger system. Every curve, every angle, and every dimension is meant to evoke a sense of unity, urging us to recognize that we are part of something infinite and vast.

WiE Design Quantum Existence project explores the cyclical nature of life and the spiritual connections between individuals and their surroundings
A Cliffside Location: Connecting with Nature
The project is situated on a cliff, far removed from the city's noise and distractions. This location was deliberately chosen for its emotional impact—a place where visitors are naturally distanced from the everyday, enabling them to engage in a deeper, more reflective experience. The site itself amplifies a sense of connection to nature, offering both isolation and harmony with the surrounding landscape.
At the core of the design is a dome, a symbol of renewal and rebirth. Constructed from thin, delicate layers, the dome allows light to filter through in ways that make the structure feel almost weightless, as though it could dissolve into the air at any moment. The interplay of light and shadow across the surface creates a subtle sense of movement, reminding us that life is in a constant state of flux.
The space is bathed in a soft, golden glow that is warm and inviting creating an atmosphere of calmness. Below the dome, the trees and greenery mirror the natural cycles of growth and renewal. The space feels alive, nurturing, and full of potential, offering visitors a moment to pause and reconnect with the ever-changing, ever-renewing world around them.
This project is not just about constructing a building; it’s about crafting an experience—one that prompts visitors to reflect on life’s dualities: light and dark, birth and death, growth and decay.
A Journey Between Light and Dark
To deepen the experience, the design introduces a powerful journey from light into darkness—symbolic of life's inherent contrasts. Beneath the dome, a transparent vertical vessel guides visitors downward to a series of underground platforms. As you descend, the lush greenery above gradually fades into the background, and the space becomes progressively more sparse and austere. The platforms, circular in form, echo the project’s theme of interconnectedness, their diminishing size reflecting the feeling of moving deeper into an unknown realm.
With each step downward, the atmosphere shifts, growing heavier. The light begins to fade, and the air becomes cooler. As you reach the lowest point, the space is enveloped in complete darkness, with no clear light source to guide the way. Instead, a sharp, downward-pointing edge at the base of the vessel creates an unsettling sense of vertigo, evoking a visceral feeling of falling—an intentional discomfort meant to mirror the emotional weight of confronting life’s darker, more uncertain moments.
This descent is designed to confront visitors with the weight of their own mortality, offering a stark contrast to the vibrant, life-affirming space above. Yet, in keeping with the theme of Quantum Existence, even within this oppressive darkness, a path forward remains. There is always a way through, a reminder that in the depths of uncertainty, transformation and renewal are still possible.

Through its innovative design and contrasting experiences, the project aims to remind us of the enduring links between the seen and unseen, the living and the spiritual
The Return to Life
The only way to ascend back to the upper levels is through a single, unadorned elevator—a powerful, symbolic choice. It represents the fundamental truth that, no matter how dark or challenging life may seem, there is always a path forward. Simple yet profound, the elevator transports visitors back to the starting point of their journey, a gentle reminder that after every fall, there is the potential for rebirth. It speaks to the cyclical nature of existence, where life's inevitable lows are always followed by the possibility of renewal.
Architecture as a Reflection of Life
At its core, this project is not just about constructing a building; it’s about crafting an experience—one that prompts visitors to reflect on life’s dualities: light and dark, birth and death, growth and decay. Through the careful interplay of form, light, and space, we aim to create an environment that is felt as much as it is seen. It’s a space that invites you to confront both the beauty and the discomfort inherent in existence, encouraging a deeper understanding of what it means to be alive.
Architecture, at its best, is more than just shelter. It is a vessel for introspection, a bridge between the material and the spiritual, a way to attune oneself to the deeper rhythms of life. In designing this space, we sought not only to meet the needs of the body but to nourish the heart and soul—to provide a sanctuary where the complexity, fragility, and wonder of the human experience can be fully embraced and understood.
